My Life in Books
If books have played a meaningful role in your life, you might have a list like this too. For me, it started with Judy Blume. But my love of books truly blossomed in seventh grade when I began reading the likes of Harper Lee, Alice Walker and John Steinbeck. And for balance, I devoured a lot of V.C. Andrews.
Since then, I’ve read a lot. In fact, my home is overflowing with books. But I can’t bear to part with any of them. Still.
A good book can transport you to a different time and place and teach you something new about the world, and most importantly - yourself.
"Books are the plane, and the train, and the road. They are the destination, and the journey. They are home." ―Anna Quindlen, How Reading Changed My Life
